That is our wrestling program. Today, the meet against Illinois was preceded by a clinic for kids given by a couple of the coaches and wrestlers. The kids just ate it up ( I took my cousin's 11 y/o, all her kids refer to me as their uncle ), and these kids learned some neat stuff, got to practice on the actual mat in the middle of Carver. Just a great experience for the kids, plus they got a free IOWA WRESTLING tshirt.
Afterwards, Iowa spanked Illinois 32-4.
After the match, the coaches and many wrestlers stayed after for the kids to get autographs, including Tom Brands and Dan Gable. Alex got his picture taken with Gable. It was neat to see how the wrestlers and coaches seemed to be enjoying it too.
